Norwegian Olympic Team in South Korea Gets a Delivery of 15,000 Eggs After a Translation Goof-up

This is a perfect example of the phrase ‘lost in translation’. And if you thought in the times of Google Translator, communicating with people speaking different languages is simple, then you must definitely know what happened to the Norwegian Olympic team when they ordered eggs in South Korea. Norwegian Olympic team which arrived in Pyeongchang for the 2018 Winter Olympics had placed an order for 1,500 eggs for their athletes. And guess what, they ended with extra 13,500 eggs. Not understanding their language, Korean hosts ended up placing an order for 15,000 eggs for the athletes. The extra zero goof-ups happened when both the sides resorted to ‘Google Translate’ for support.
