MS QSO Party

Put the Mississippi QSO Party on your schedule for this coming Saturday.
This is the one time of the year when Hams around the country can find a
Mississippi Station. Hams trying to finish their WAS or 5BWAS, County
Hunters, Certificate Chasers, and casual operators will be out in force
looking for Mississippi Stations.

Complete Rules can be downloaded at www.arrlmiss.org along with a map
showing what counties are scheduled to be activated by Mobiles and
Portables. A quick look at this map will show that we are short of
stations in Northeast Mississippi. Fixed stations around Tupelo,
Columbus, Starkville, Corinth, and surrounding areas please get on the
air.

We normally have about 40 to 50 counties on the air during a QSO Party,
but much of this activity is on 3862. Many of these stations never go to
20 and 40, thus many stations around the country never have a shot at
some of these rare counties.  Please put in some time on 20 and 40,
although band conditions are not good, so this will take some extra
effort.

Don’t forget to keep 3862 clear at 6PM for the MSPN.
