  1. Yep, John “Cap’n Crunch” Draper was one clever guy. Do you know what frequency the Cap’n crunch whistle produced? 2600 hertz….

    This tone would allow you to make a charge-free call anywhere. This was known as “Phreaking”. It became popular among the electronic-curious types (hackers). The magazine “2600: The Hacker Quarterly” was quite popular during these times.
