Welcome to Hams Eating Chicken.

Arne, K5ARN, started this site for LoCoARC KC5ULN in Columbus, MS.

Every Thursday some Hams would meet and eat lunch at Ryan’s and we called it “Hams Eating Chicken”. Ryan’s has since closed and now the location for Hams Eating Chicken every Thursday is announced during the Tuesday net. 

On the first Thursday of the month from about 11am until about 1pm we usually have Hams Eating Chicken at Tag’s Surf & Turf in Hamilton, MS.

Every other Thursday we have Hams Eating Chicken at 11am Meet in the “Dungeon” in the Lowndes Emergency Services Annex of the Court House. Go to the 911 office door and press the 911 call button and tell them you are there for the HAM radio club meeting. Once in, go left, downstairs, then to the right at the end of the hall. See Y’all There! 

Some of us are members of the KC5ULN LoCoARC in Columbus, but that is not required at all. We welcome everybody, the more the merrier. If you have any interest in Ham Radio you are welcome.

Our discussions are like the winds over the ocean, changing directions all the time and occasionally turning in circles. If you have time and are in the area please join us.

The intent with the blog is to be a fun place, where we all contribute.
