11am Meet in the “Dungeon” in the Lowndes Emergency Services Annex of the Court House. Go to the 911 office door and press the 911 call button and tell them you are there for the HAM radio club meeting. Once in, go left, downstairs, then to the right at the end of the hall. See Y’all There!

  This is notice and reminder of our Christmas Party coming up this Thursday in lieu of our Monthly Meeting.  

  Our annual Christmas party is this Thursday, December 5, 2024.  It will be held at last year’s location, El Patron.  Address is 78 Brickerton Street, Columbus ,MS and phone # is 662-630-5120.  As we agreed at the November Monthly meeting, we will exchange Dirty Santa type gifts, valued at $10 or less. For those who are time-crunched and/or gift wrap challenged, there is an option of donating an amount (equivalent to the gift limit or not) to the Club, which others can add to so the Club can donate to a selected Charity.  Last year, we chose St Jude’s Hospital. Another consideration for donations is one of the groups which assisted the victims of Hurricane Helene. We will start gathering at 6:00 pm and plan to close out by 9:00 pm. awOur DEC Robert, KC5IMN, continues to recover from his accident as a
patient at University Hospital in Mobile. He was rear-ended while riding
his bicycle in Ocean Springs.  He went under the vehicle and was drug 70
feet resulting in broken bones and burns due to abrasion from the
pavement and contact with the hot exhaust pipe.

General, KD4VVZ, and Annis, KD1VVZ, visited Robert on Sunday and found
him to be in good spirits and looking forward to getting out of the
hospital in mid-December at the earliest. However there is a long road
to recovery ahead.

Prayers and encouragement are in order for Robert and his family. A card
of support would be helpful.  Please send a card to:
