TO: ALL ARES MEMBERS
FROM: GUS (WG5GK)
SUBJECT: WINLINK EXCERCISE NET
Greetings:
Myself and Yvette have been testing a net that begins to use the intermediate and advance features of WinLink.
A storyline is being developed which starts off with you and two others being assigned to a shelter or staging area. There is a line of people in front of you waiting to send messages outside the affected area.
How can this be accomplished? (Hint: We will use P2P and Winlink to start the exercise)
This will be a weekly exercise with a new DNCS (Digital Net Control Station) every week.
This net is open to all ARES members of Harrison, Jackson, Stone, Pearl River, and George counties.
To attend send a Winlink message to WG5GK or WG5GK@Winlink.org. Don’t forget the //WL2K in subject line.
Gus (WG5GK)
The link on the Testing page didn’t take you to the GTVET testing schedule page so I changed it to https://larc-vec.org/displayteam.php?team=GTVET.
If anyone sees anything else that needs fixing please let me know.
73 y’all K5TCO 🙂
